Robin Wilkins, owner of Michelle’s Pet Salon and founder of the Groomology Institute of Texas, boasts over 35 years of grooming experience and has transformed her family's business into a renowned grooming destination in Texas. At the Groomology Institute, she pioneers grooming education, offering NDGAA certification and overseeing a skilled team of 15 professionals. Beyond grooming, Robin is committed to sustainability and is an active volunteer alongside her husband, sharing a love for hunting and travel with their four pets. As President of TPPGA, Robin aims to elevate Texas pet stylists through professionalism and high standards, fostering a supportive community where excellence thrives.


Misty Reed

Misty Reed is a Nationally Certified Master Groomer in College Station with over 26 years in the industry as a groomer and formerly a vet tech. Education and safety are the most important aspects of the grooming industry to her, and in addition to mentoring new groomers she is also a Pet CPR/First aid instructor who has certified over 350 individuals to be prepared for emergencies with their clients pets as well as their personal ones. She is active in her local all breed AKC kennel club, serving as an officer for 8 years with the last 3 of those as President. She breeds and shows English Springer Spaniels, competing in conformation where she has put championships on 5 dogs with multiple group placements, as well as various performance sports including rally, obedience, dock diving, agility and volunteering in pet therapy. She has participated in grooming competitions and searched as captain of the 2019-2020 IJA Texas Grooming Team. In her down time she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling with her dogs or working with her horse.



Amy Coffman

Amy Coffman proudly serves as the Secretary of the Texas Professional Pet Groomers Association, bringing with her a lifetime of experience and dedication to the grooming industry. Owner and operator of two professional grooming facilities in the greater Dallas–Fort Worth area for over 20 years, Amy’s journey began much earlier at just 10 years old, learning the industry alongside her mother. Now with over 40 years in the industry, she remains deeply committed to elevating the grooming profession.

Amy is especially passionate about upskilling her team, advancing grooming techniques to ensure top-quality results, and advocating for fair, livable wages for groomers. Her leadership is grounded in both experience and a forward-thinking mindset that champions the industry, practical education, and professionalism.

Outside of grooming and her work with TPPGA, Amy enjoys traveling, relaxing boat days, and cherishing time with her family. She’s a mom to two adult children: Cheyenne, a cheerleader at SMU, and James, who serves in the Army.

Diana Torres

Diana Torres, Treasurer of TPPGA, has been a dedicated professional in the grooming industry for 16 years, owning and operating Hot Dog Grooming, LLC in the Westchase Memorial area for over 12 years.

Passionate about mentoring and training the next generation of groomers, Diana aspires to open a grooming school to provide hands-on education and elevate industry standards. She is committed to growing the grooming community, increasing client awareness, and ensuring the highest level of pet care.

As a lifelong learner in the grooming industry, Diana embraces its continuous evolution and is excited to see it moving in the right direction. She is currently pursuing her Master Groomer certification and actively competing to expand her expertise and refine her techniques.

Being part of TPPGA allows her to advocate for a stronger, more sustainable future for groomers, ensuring they receive the recognition and support they deserve.


Sarah Penrod

Sarah Penrod, Austin’s first NCMG, launched her grooming career in 2005 as a private groomer for a professional handler. Since then, she's become a salon owner, educator, and award-winning competitor, earning accolades like Pet Pro Classic’s "Best Pet Stylist in Texas" in 2011, Barkleigh Honors Award nominee for “Up And Coming Groomer of the Year” in 2012, and consecutive Best in Show awards at Groom Texas in 2016 and 2017. Sarah's passion for animals and commitment to learning drive her role as Education and Events Coordinator, where she aims to mentor and pass on her wisdom to aspiring groomers in Texas.

Natasha Harris, owner of Gingerly Groomed and Director of Membership, demonstrates that rapid industry advancement is achievable through dedication and a passion for animal welfare. Her experience spans mentorship under certified behaviorists, collaboration with national-level competitive dog trainers, and contributions to service dog training programs across Texas. Despite her relatively recent entry into the grooming profession, Natasha has actively engaged in industry conventions, seminars, and competitions, showcasing her commitment to continuous learning. She is eager to leverage her diverse background and unique perspective to benefit the TPPGA and its members.
